Intermittent fasting benefits

Intermittent fasting or time restricted fasting is where you give your body a break from digestion for at least 12 hours a day (ideally 16). Since most of our immunity is in our gut, this allows your body to focus more time on healing instead of digestion. I try to eat between 11AM - 7PM.


Some major benefits of intermittent fasting include: -Reduces body weight -Optimizes your blood sugar -Tames your appetite -Slows down tumor growth -Reduces cancer risk -Prevents disease -Improves memory -Protects the heart -Eases stress -Reduces symptoms of anxiety & depression -Improves joint & bone health


Studies have shown that even if you don't change your diet but just shift your eating to an 8-12 hour window, you will still realize many of these benefits.
