Thyroid dysfunction/heavy metals/pregnancy connection

Did your thyroid condition start during or after pregnancy? Heavy metals could be at the root cause.

When heavy metals like aluminum or mercury enter the body they're surrounded by white blood cells. WBC's can't eliminate the metals like they would a virus and the metals end up accumulating in tissues over time.

When your immune system is activated by a major event like a pregnancy, it signals the WBC's for help... which could be bound to these metals. Once metals are in the part of your body that needs help (i.e. the thyroid), another signal is called out for more WBC's... which in turn brings in more metals.

This process may explain why so many thyroid conditions spark during or shortly after pregnancy since the thyroid undergoes massive immune activation doing that time.

Did I mention I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer after two back to back pregnancies?
