This Came Out Of Organic Carrots🤮🪱

I’ve seen a lot of comments saying this is “just carrot root hairs.”

Root hairs don’t wriggle. This does.

This appears consistent with a horsehair-type worm, and yes - it was found in organic carrots.🥕🥬

That said, this is not a reason to avoid organic produce.

Organic farming:

Doesn’t use systemic pesticides that kill everything

Supports living soil (which means real ecosystems)

Avoids chemical residues we know disrupt hormones and immunity

The tradeoff?

When you’re not sterilizing the environment with chemicals, you’re more likely to encounter nature doing what nature does.

I’ve found an inchworm in my Brussels sprouts before... it happens🐛.😅

The takeaway isn’t fear. It’s hygiene.

Wash produce thoroughly 🥬

Use a produce soak or vinegar/salt rinse if you like

Don’t assume “organic” means “pre-sanitized”

Organic food is still the better choice. Just remember it comes from the earth, not a factory.
