Well well well⦠look who finally caught up šš„¦
After decades of corporate lobbyists whispering sweet nothings into the food pyramid (aka āfear the fatā & eat all the refined carbs šµāš«), common sense and actual science are back in the building.
Props to @seckennedyĀ for year another MAHA win!š
Because the era of eat less fat and less red meat didn't shrink waistlines, it expanded them.... along with basically all chronic disease.
The new dietary guidelines finally say what many of us already knew:
ā”ļø Prioritize high-quality protein
ā”ļø Donāt fear healthy fats
ā”ļø Eat your plants
ā”ļø Choose whole foods
ā”ļø Skip the ultra-processed junk, refined carbs + sugar
For those of us already living this way, we know that eating whole foods rich in protein and plants directly impacts:
⨠energy
⨠weight
⨠mood
⨠focus
⨠digestion
⨠hormones
⨠basically⦠everything
Also worth noticing š
š« Sweets didnāt make the cut on the new pyramid
š„ Oils matter - stick to avocado, olive, or coconut
Healthy proteins and fats werenāt the problem. They were the solution all along.
