Letās talk about it. Nature doesnāt fear the sunāš» plants turn toward it, šæ leaves open to absorb it, and even š¾ animals will bask in its rays or gaze at sunrise/sunset for the benefits.
But weāve been told to hide from it and slather on chemicals to āprotectā ourselves⦠Yet many sunscreens are loaded with hormone-disrupting and cancer-promoting ingredients. š
Meanwhile, real sunlight - especially morning red light - does things like:
āļø Boost mitochondrial & brain function
āļø Improve sleep & circadian rhythm
āļø Increase serotonin & endorphins
āļø Enhance skin repair & wound healing
āļø Stimulate natural D3 production (a hormone, not just a vitamin!)
Sunlight isnāt the villain. š Itās medicine - when we build a relationship with it wisely.
If you're out in the sun for a while and want to avoid burning without the chemical soup, check out EWGās clean sunscreen list.šŖ Protect your skin, soak up the good stuff, skip the toxins.š
