Chronic Diarrhea Is a Symptom, Not the Root Problem.
Diarrhea is uncomfortable, embarrassing and way more common than people think. But it’s also a signal from the body that something deeper is going on.
Some of the biggest drivers I see behind chronic diarrhea are parasites, candida and other infections or pathogens. It can also be triggered by things like food poisoning, inflammatory gut conditions like Crohn’s, celiac, or ulcerative colitis as well as acute stress and anxiety.
Medications are another big one. There are actually over 700 medications that list diarrhea as a potential side effect.
So what can you do about it?
Start with a comprehensive parasite cleanse that also targets things like viruses and candida. Focus on eating a healing, plant-rich diet that supports the gut.
Remove common trigger foods like gluten, dairy and hydrogenated oils.
Avoid antibiotics whenever possible, since they can further disrupt the gut microbiome.
And just as important - find healthy, productive ways to manage stress, because the gut and nervous system are deeply connected.
When you address the root causes, the gut can finally start to calm down and heal.
