☀️ One of the easiest weight loss "hacks" is also completely free.
A Northwestern University study found that people who got more of their bright light earlier in the day tended to have lower BMIs, even after accounting for sleep, calories and physical activity.
For every hour later participants got their main bright-light exposure, BMI was about 1.3 points higher on average. (For many adults, that's roughly the equivalent of 8–10 pounds.)
Morning sunlight isn't just about vitamin D. It helps set your circadian rhythm, your body's internal clock that influences everything from hormones and metabolism to hunger, blood sugar, energy and sleep.
If you've been doing "all the right things" but the scale won't budge, don't overlook the basics.
☀️ Try stepping outside for 20–30 minutes of natural morning light within the first few hours of waking. It's simple, it's free and it may be one of the easiest ways to support a healthier metabolism.
