☀️ Suns Out, Worms Out? Here’s Why Parasites LOVE Summer

Why Summer Is Actually the Best Time to Parasite Cleanse

1. One splash = surprise parasite.Think chlorine keeps you safe? Not quite. Parasites like Crypto, Giardia, Cyclospora, and even skin-penetrating ones (like waterborne flukes) can enter through your mouth or skin in pools, lakes, rivers, and water parks. One swim is all it takes.

2.  Bug bites & stings carry more than just itches.Summer is peak season for mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, flies, lice, mites, and other biting/stinging bugs — all of which can transmit parasites, Lyme, and co-infections like Bartonella and Babesia. Some even carry viruses and bacteria too.

3. Walking barefoot = easy entry.Summer is the season of sandals and bare feet. But soil and sand can harbor parasites like hookworms and strongyloides, which can enter the body through the skin — especially when walking barefoot in parks, gardens, or on the beach.

4. Parasites can sabotage your summer body goals. They steal nutrients, trigger sugar cravings, increase appetite, and mess with your metabolism. Many people unknowingly carry parasites that contribute to bloating, weight gain, constipation, and even insulin resistance.

5. Parasites thrive in heat and humidity.Warmer temps can increase parasitic activity — they reproduce faster and are more active in the body during summer.

6.  More travel = more exposure.Summer vacations often include travel to tropical areas, swimming in lakes/oceans, eating unfamiliar foods, or drinking questionable water — all common ways parasites sneak in.
