Me mailing my request to make my smart meter non-communicating. FYI VA - it's an option! @dominionenergy switched my meter over to "smart" without my consent and I have been trying to switch it back for months. They don't make it easy - you have to call and I was on hold for almost 30 minutes. Regular customer service reps can't help - they transferred me to a specialized rep who went through the talking points on why smart meters are "safe".🙄 Once I said I still wasn't interested in a smart meter, she mailed me a request form for me to sign and return... via mail. They don't make the switch easy but it is possible!
