Detox Isn’t the Problem — The Order Is

Why Detox Order Matters (And How To Do It Right)
If detox hasn’t worked for you in the past (or left you feeling worse) it’s often not what you did… it’s the order you did it in.
Our bodies were never designed to handle the level of toxic exposure we face today. Pesticides, heavy metals, mold, infections, stress... it’s A LOT. That’s why detox isn’t a one-time thing; it’s part of a sustainable wellness lifestyle.
But here’s the key most people miss:
Detoxing out of order can stall healing, worsen symptoms or trigger intense die-off.
There is a proper sequence that allows toxins and pathogens to leave the body safely so healing can actually happen.
Step 1: Open Drainage Pathways
Before killing anything, you need to make sure the exits are open.
This means supporting:
Colon & bowels
Liver & bile flow
Kidneys
Lymphatic system
Skin (sweat)
If drainage isn’t moving, toxins and pathogens have nowhere to go... and dead pathogens trapped in the body are often more inflammatory than live ones
Proper drainage = smoother detox + far less herxing.
Step 2: Address Parasites & Pathogens
Once drainage is supported, you can begin removing parasites and pathogens.
A truly effective protocol should:
Support clearing candida, viruses, and co-infections
Work systemically, not just in the gut
Most parasite cleanses don’t check all of these boxes, which is why results can be inconsistent.
Step 3: Remove Heavy Metals & Stored Toxins
Heavy metals suppress immune function and make it harder for your body to fight infections.
Even more important:
Parasites are attracted to heavy metals
If metals remain, they can undo the progress you’ve made clearing pathogens. This step helps change the internal environment so healing can stick.
Step 4: Cellular Detox for Lyme & Co-Infections
Lyme and co-infections are intracellular, meaning they hide inside cells and behind other toxins.
Once drainage is open and larger burdens (parasites, metals, toxins) are reduced, the body is far better equipped to handle deeper cellular detox.
Jumping into a Lyme protocol too early can not only be ineffective, it can overwhelm the system... especially if detox pathways aren’t open. That’s why this step comes last, not first.
The Big Picture
Detox isn’t about doing everything at once. It’s about doing the right things in the right order to mimize herx reactions and to give your body the best chance to feel better, faster.
Detox + diet support + lifestyle shifts create a true roadmap to wellness.
Your body is not broken. With the right support, it knows how to heal.
