Vacation, mold & where you stay matters

So we went on vacation last week with some friends to a little island resort town.

Because we were super late to the game, by the time we decided to go, I basically took whatever accomodations I could find. šŸ˜‚ The pictures looked fine, so I was like, okay, it’s fine. No worries.

Well…as soon as we checked in, I knew it was going to be a struggle.

You know that musty, mothball-y, dusty, old-wood smellĀ that almost smells like camp? Yep. That was our resort.

But it was desperate times, we were already there, so we just rolled

with it and decided we were going to spend as much time outside as possible.

And we actually had a GREAT time.

But our bodies definitely took a little bit of a beating.

We got tons of mosquito bites, spider bites, a sting, BED BUGSĀ šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøā€¦and by the end of the trip, my son and I both had completely red eyes, and he developed an earache.

And that musty smell?

It can be a sign of microbial activity, including mold, and mold can produce compounds that get into the air. When you're spending hours breathing that air, you're potentially being exposed through your respiratory system, not just through what you eat or put on your skin.

And that was my big reminder:

Where you stay matters.

So when we got home, we went straight into support + detox mode.

I already had Biotoxin Binder and Para-3Ā on hand, which are two of my go-to CellCore products for binding and supporting the body when we're dealing with things like environmental toxins, mold exposure, and other unwanted compounds.

We also used binders topically on some of the bites by making a paste with the binder and CT-Minerals and applying it directly to the skin. I alternated that with a beeswax salve that I make, too.

We were also taking extra IS-Boost and garlicĀ to support immune function, along with most of the TUDCAĀ because of its supportive properties.

And of course, Epsom salt baths.

For my son's ear, I used diluted essential oils externally, and we also used colloidal silver in our eyes.

Now, a week later, everyone is basically back to normal, so I've backed way off all the extra stuff.

We're just continuing with binders a little longer because I want to give the body some additional support as we move past the exposure.

And honestly, the biggest takeaway for me was this:

We spend SO much time thinking about the toxins we're eating and drinking, and even what we're putting on our skin…but what about what we're breathing?

If you walk into a building and immediately notice that something smells musty, funky, damp, dusty, or just…off, pay attention.

Your body may be telling you something.

Because sometimes the environment we're in can matter just as much as the things we're intentionally putting into our bodies.
